IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY.
I grew up in a world of chaos, where my father's schizophrenia consumed my childhood.
As a sensitive boy, I lived on constant alert—never knowing what each day would bring. That early chaos planted the seeds of an anxiety disorder that would haunt me for decades.
My anxiety became a beast—relentless, obsessive, and overwhelming. At its worst, I didn’t know if I could go on.
Still, I pushed forward. I became a physician, best-selling author, yoga and meditation teacher, and even a stand-up comedian. But it all came at a cost.
As the years went on, the anxiety deepened. I burned out of medicine, retired early, and watched two marriages fall apart—all while struggling to connect with myself and others through the thick fog of survival physiology.
No matter what I achieved, I couldn’t outrun the alarm inside me. But eventually, after decades of searching—I found a way to truly heal.
Not just cope. Not just manage. Heal.
And now I want to help you do the same.

10 years ago, I made a discovery that changed everything.
While living at a temple in India, I had a revelation that altered the course of my life:

Since then, I’ve made it my life’s mission to share this truth—one that most psychiatrists and psychologists still overlook.
As a doctor and clinical neuroscientist, I now help others heal their anxiety the same way I healed mine: by resolving the alarm at its source.
I wrote my best-selling book Anxiety Rx—and later created my online program, MBRX—to share the exact path that finally healed me. These aren’t just resources—they’re the guide I wish I’d had decades ago. Because after 30 years of failed treatments, my greatest accomplishment wasn’t professional—it was personal.
